Besides functioning as a Central Bank, the CBCS also is the regulatory authority responsible for the supervision and regulation of the Banking, Credit Unions, Finance Companies, Savings Funds, Money Transfer Companies, Insurance, Pension Funds, Securities, Securities Intermediaries, Securities Exchanges, Trust, Investment Institutions and Fund Administration sectors in Curaçao and Sint Maarten. The CBCS functions as a so-called “super regulator”
The CBCS is a member of most standard setting bodies, and actively participates in those bodies.

- Engagement with firms on FinTech, RegTech, and shortly also SupTech solutions
